1. Introduction
PawPulse ("we", "us", "our") is an AI-powered pet nutrition tracking application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal data when you use our service.
By using PawPulse, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

2.2 Pet Profile Data

All scan images and results are stored locally on your device using IndexedDB. Images are not uploaded to our servers.
2.4 Health Data
- Health alerts and trend data generated from your scans
- Mood indicators and daily calorie tracking
3. How We Use Your Data
- Authentication: Google OAuth to verify your identity
- AI Analysis: Scan images are sent to Google Gemini AI for nutritional analysis. Images are processed in real-time and are not stored by the AI service beyond the analysis session
- Personalization: Breed-specific insights based on your pet's profile
- Health Tracking: Generating trends, alerts, and mood indicators from your scan history
4. Data Storage & Security
- Local-first: Pet profiles, scan history, and health data are stored locally on your device (IndexedDB)
- Firebase Auth: Authentication tokens are managed securely by Google Firebase
- API Proxy: AI requests are routed through a Vercel serverless proxy — your device never directly accesses API keys
- No third-party analytics: We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any other third-party tracking
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties, except:
- Google Firebase: Authentication only (OAuth tokens)
- Google Gemini AI: Scan images for real-time analysis (not stored)
- Legal requirements: If required by law or legal process
6. Your Rights (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Union (including the Czech Republic), you have the following rights:
- Access: Request a copy of your personal data
- Rectification: Correct inaccurate data via your profile settings
- Erasure: Delete your account and all associated data ("Right to be Forgotten")
- Data Portability: Export your data in a machine-readable format (planned feature)
- Objection: Object to data processing for specific purposes
To exercise your rights, use the "Delete Account" feature in app Settings, or contact us at the email below.
7. Data Retention
Your data is stored locally on your device for as long as you use the app. When you delete your account:
- All local data (IndexedDB) is cleared from your device
- Your Firebase authentication record is deleted
- This action is irreversible
8. Children's Privacy
